01 - Minerals · dried residue
Calcite and aragonite become vaterite
Calcium carbonate has one formula, CaCO₃, but it can crystallize three ways. Dried residue from the untreated control formed blocky calcite and needle-like aragonite, the forms behind hard scale. Residue from the treated sample formed mostly rounded vaterite.
Vaterite normally converts back into calcite, so seeing it persist after drying tells us the treated water crystallized under different conditions.

Calcium has to dissolve out of a mineral before the body can absorb it. In the acidic stomach, calcium carbonate releases calcium ions (Ca²⁺), which are then absorbed in the small intestine. Because vaterite generally dissolves more readily than calcite, it's a reason to study treated water as a possible source of more available calcium. The WATER H3RO doesn't add calcium; it changes the form already in your water.
A newly forming vaterite surface can also interact with other dissolved minerals through adsorption, coprecipitation and lattice incorporation. That gives us a working framework for the fluoride, aluminum and phosphate changes in test 04. Chlorine is a separate mechanism, attributed to copper.
Whether the result repeats across water sources and flow conditions, how long vaterite persists, whether the calcium is dissolved or present as suspended particles, particle size, simulated gastric dissolution, direct scale-deposition tests and, ultimately, a controlled human calcium-absorption comparison.

02 - Chlorine · reagent test
Free chlorine converted
The untreated tap water turned the reagent strongly yellow, consistent with the Auburn, California water district's published chlorine levels. The treated sample stayed clear, indicating near-total chlorine conversion under the test kit's protocol.
We attribute this to the copper inside the device, which catalyzes the breakdown of hypochlorous acid into chloride and oxygen.
METHOD
Two 60 ml tap-water samples in clean 100 ml borosilicate flat-bottom tubes. 5 ml of Blue Devil OTO chlorine/bromide reagent added to each, swirled 30 seconds, left 1 minute, then photographed.

How the water handles light, from UV to red
Each wavelength probes a different size of structure. Blue light is most sensitive to nanoscale features; red responds to larger ones. Comparing all three tells us which size range dominates, so the ratio between images is the measurement itself.

METHOD
Identical 100 ml borosilicate flat-bottom tubes, same laser distance, same darkened enclosure, identical camera settings, no post-processing. Dynamic light scattering is underway to measure particle size directly.
Absorbance near 270 nm has also been reported in some mineral-containing solutions. We're running mineral-matched controls to separate the effect of water organization from dissolved minerals.
04 - Agriculture · lab analysis
Mineral availability shifts
We analyzed leachate from an organic phosphate fertilizer contaminated with high aluminum, before and after it passed through the WATER H3RO agriculture device.
Measured calcium, phosphate and nitrate increased. Measured fluoride, aluminum, chlorine and nitrite decreased.
The vaterite conversion in test 01 may start a cascade: because vaterite is more soluble and reactive, it changes dissolved calcium while altering crystal growth, adsorption and coprecipitation. Copper reactions and dissolved oxygen may drive specific changes like chlorine reduction and nitrite oxidation. Each mechanism is being studied individually.
Positive values indicate more measurable availability after treatment; negative values indicate lower measured concentrations.
05 - Temperature
Treated water reads cooler
The untreated control measured 22.3 °C. The treated sample measured 21.5 °C, 0.8 °C cooler, from the same source in the same room. The treated sample's recorded maximum was 21.9 °C, so the lower reading wasn't a momentary fluctuation.
We interpret a temperature drop as a sign of an endothermic change: the water taking in energy as it reorganizes rather than releasing it as heat.

06 - Surface interaction
Rises more than twice as high
In identical glass capillary tubes, untreated water rose 34.9 mm. Treated water from the same source rose 82.6 mm. Capillary rise reflects how strongly water adheres to the tube wall against the weight of the column, so a higher rise points to a change in surface tension or wetting behavior.

07 - Chlorine · reagent test
Keeps particles in suspension
Same amount of bentonite clay, same volume of water, same source. In the control, the clay settled and left a clearer layer on top. In the treated sample, the clay stayed evenly distributed with no visible separation.
Bentonite's negatively charged layered platelets only stay dispersed if water can wet and penetrate between them. The result is consistent with the changed wetting behavior seen in the capillary test.

Protein mixes more evenly
Same amount of whey protein, same volume, same source. The control looked darker and more opaque, with visible separation. The treated sample looked lighter and more uniform throughout.
Proteins stay dispersed when surrounded by a stable layer of water molecules. Whether this result reflects surface tension, hydrogen bonding or another property is still under investigation.

Two jars, two different outcomes
Two mason jars, filled from the same source on the same date, sealed and stored outdoors in Port Hueneme, California for two years with nothing added. Different microbial communities developed: yellow growth in the control, blue-green growth in the treated jar.
Organisms compete for limited micronutrients like iron, molybdenum and phosphate. A different outcome is consistent with the mineral-availability changes in test 04, suggesting something in the water's chemistry changed and held.
This is a single-sample observation, not a replicated controlled experiment, and the organisms in each jar have not been laboratory-identified. It's a candidate for structured replication.

10 - Flow
A tighter, rounder stream
Both samples were discharged through the same orifice under identical conditions. The control exited as an irregular, splayed stream. The treated sample exited as a rounder, more symmetrical stream that held its shape, and the difference repeated across trials.
Stream shape can reflect a fluid's internal resistance to flow. To measure this properly, we're recording efflux times with a calibrated Zahn cup, the standard numerical test for kinematic viscosity.
