Health Heroes! 🦸♀️
As we go into 2022, it’s a powerful practice to look at all of the things that you have implemented in 2021 and put into intention what you would like to manifest in 2022.
Last year, Tim and I made some vision boards. (mine are in the picture posted)
It was three different boards labeled Release–Reaffirm–Reinvent
What you would like to Release (what isn’t working for you that you would like to remove and let go of in your life)
What you would like to Reaffirm (the things that you are doing now that are working for you, that would like to continue doing)
And what you would like to Reinvent (what you would like to bring more of into your life)
These are the type of vision boards that you work with for a couple years then make new ones. It’s one thing to look at what you would like to manifest but to let go of and reaffirm certain things in your life takes time.
As the new year approaches. I like to plant seeds to get everyone thinking about what word they would like to work with this next year.
My word for 2021 was to FEEL and for me that went hand in hand with complete sobriety.
I must say it is pretty exciting to see on my calendar my one year mark! Mainly because I did what I said I was going to do. And there’s not a lot of things that are more powerful and sacred than our word.
I can’t say that I had a problem with any substance before but without a doubt I would medicate from time to time.
Complete sobriety has shown me a new kind of intimacy with self and a deeper trust of self that I never knew. I have seen and felt the depth of my frustration and despair and in return have seen and felt new heights of joy.
Not to mention this new found groundedness I experience each day.
I have thought to myself “am i going to have a drink to celebrate when all of this is over?”
And my next thought is “what would be the purpose?”
Personally, I think we smoke or drink to make life feel better than what it actually is.
We are wanting some heightened experience.
That oftentimes comes without any substance, but it’s almost as if the fear of it ‘not being what you want it to be’ sikes you out to make you grab hold of something outside of yourself so that you have a “better chance” of getting that heightened experience that you are wanting.
I’ve found that we don’t need to grab a hold of anything outside of ourselves.
All we have to do is trust.
Trust that everything is happening as it should.
And that everything is happening FOR us, not against us…
It may not look the way you expect, and the outcome doesn’t always “appear” to be in your favor.
But things are happening on a much deeper level than our minds can comprehend.
And while these things may not appear to be in your favor, It is all happening for your own liberation.
I will always point to sobriety as an incredible tool.
I believe that in order to heal, we have to be willing to feel.
Because without feeling, what are we?
Start thinking about your word for 2022! And be prepared to share! I can’t wait to hear what you come up with.
