Health Heroes! 🦸♀️
If there is one thing that I could say that I see the most of in the world it is fear.
And that fear keeps most people from going after what they want and what would make them truly happy in life.
I’ve always said there are two types of people in the world.
People who talk about walking and people go walking.
The difference between these two?
Action.
If you want something. You’ve got to take action!
Stop talking and start doing!
I fell in love with the Nike Slogan a few years back because that’s exactly what it speaks to.
JUST DO IT.
If it’s important to you, If you think about it everyday. Start taking actionable steps towards that thing everyday! Have a vision, but focus on today. What can you do today to get closer to that thing?
Back in January I made a commitment to go hard into my fitness journey. (exercise has always been a non negotiable for me, ever since I was 14. This is an area of my life that I’ve grown very disciplined in) but, I’ve always wanted to have more Ab definition and grow a strong core. I’ve tried it on my own, and even though I’ve always been fit, I wasn’t getting the results I was looking for. So what did I choose to do differently this time?
I started looking at what the people who had what I wanted were doing.
This is an important step.
You don’t go to a homeless shelter looking for advice on how to make money.
Look at what the people who are doing what you want are doing.
If you see a spark in someone, if you see someone that lights up a room and you want that same thing. You don’t go to the person who is barely noticeable and ask them how to be like that other person. No, you go to the source.
Here I am 8 months into my goal and I am in the best shape of my life!
I’ve spent the last 8 years getting my insides right and this past year I’ve been focusing on getting the structure/building right.
Going through this experience has made me realize that having a strong foundation is a very important aspect of health.
It makes life more joyful when we can move with strength and ease.
It’s exciting being able to keep up with the kiddos.
It turns things that (when we are in pain) are daunting into something that is fun and enjoyable!
More importantly, I saw something that I wanted and I worked towards it everyday.
Is there something that you’ve been wanting so badly but haven’t taken action towards?
What’s one thing that you could do today to get closer to that goal?
