DO THESE THREE THINGS TO IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE

DO THESE THREE THINGS TO IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE

Health Heroes! 🦸‍♀️

Do these 3 things to improve your quality of life, keep a steady stream of energy throughout the day, and get your baseline back to feeling good

🔅Wait 90 min to 120 min after you wake to consume caffeine.

This is why…

“In the brain adenosine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. This means, adenosine can act as a central nervous system depressant. In normal conditions, it promotes sleep, suppresses arousal,  as well as local neuronal excitability.  When awake the levels of adenosine in the brain rise each hour.”

“Many people drink coffee first thing in the morning — but that isn’t the best time to get your caffeine fix. Drinking coffee right after you wake up may interfere with your body’s cortisol production. It’s best to wait at least an hour after waking up to drink coffee.”

“Adenosine builds up in your system. Caffeine is an adenosine antagonist.”

Allowing these levels to rise naturally is key to keeping your energy throughout the day.

🔅Get sunlight first thing in the morning.

10 minutes if it’s sunny.

20-30 minutes if it’s an overcast day.

This is one of the best things you can do to improve sleep, mood, energy, metabolism, and wakefulness is to get natural light in your eyes early in the day.

This sets in motion a huge number of different neurobiological and hormonal cascades that are good for you, reduces stress at night, offsets cortisol and more!

🔅Drink 16 to 32 ounces of water with ½ tsp of sea salt or Electrolytes of some sort. I like LMNT. https://drinklmnt.com/

While we sleep we become dehydrated so hydrating yourself first thing in the morning is the most important step to supporting the adenosine system.

Do these three things and I guarantee you that your quality of energy throughout the day will improve!

I hope you all had a relaxing and fun Labor Day Weekend!
